Woman who is the leader of a group of women. Almost every group of females has one. She will make most decisions and respond first to most approaches, even when approach was not directed towards her. In pickup, you must win her over first before escalating with her followers.

(also: Alpha Male Of Group) May or may not be a BF of target, but asserts himself as leader of a group. He will try to break your game, usually with challenges to your material, but possibly may escalate to intimidation or violence. Usually an AFC, but some PUAs practice this.

Associating an emotion to a physical thing. To set an anchor, create a positive emotional state and provide a unique trigger. Later, use that trigger to recall that emotion.

Women's internal mechanism to make sure it doesn't appear to herself and others that she's too easily seduced. This is overcome with good gaming, extended comfort building, multiple location changes, and spending the appropriate amount of contact time in each stage. The fear of making cold first approaches on a group of women. Nearly Every man has a fear of making the initial approach, based on years of contact and trying to make friends with rude, arrogant women. AA is reduced with lots of practice, and knowledge that you have a solid strategy.

A women is signaling for you to approach her, with eye contact or body language.

The 'old style' of pickup up men by buying their time and attention with drinks, flowers, dinner, etc. The men generally have been taught failed social interaction at a young age by women (perhaps raised by women), and will cling for decades to the concept of 'just be yourself'. Often these men are angry and suicidal, and will cling for decades to their belief that women should be friends first and treated like entitled princesses.

Extremely attractive women (and some of those who are not) often pretend to be a 'bitch', even when they're not, to prevent an endless stream of no-game men (AFCs) from hitting on them.

When a woman doesn't answer or return phone calls. Usually caused by errors made by PUA when getting the number (# close), such as: Keep talking to target at least 5 minutes after you get the number, or getting the number too quickly (before building attraction and DHVs).

Positioning of the body in a way that carries a certain meaning to others. For example, crossed arms mean the person is guarded, and does not want to be approached.

Person in an exclusive relationship. Note that women often say they have a boyfriend when they don't (in early stages of pickup), so PUAs ignore the statement of boyfriend unless there is evidence he really exists. Otherwise, PUAs are generally respectful of established relationships.

Accurate guage the reaction of your target and the effectiveness of your game

Pre-written routines that you can use in any situation. Pros: It's been field tested and known to work. Cons: HB's may have heard it before, and bust you on using someone else's material.

Non-verbally escalate seduction

Friend of target who tries to distract or prevent target from being seduce. The CB may have explicit or implicit instructions from target, or may simply be a frustrated woman who doesn't want ANYONE to get laid. CB's must be neutralized -before- attempting to isolate target by making her laugh and being her friend.

Statements, actions, or stories that convey high value as measured by the female mind. Used in attraction building to make the PUA stand out from the others. Examples - standing a walking with confidence, speaking with authority, telling stories about visiting interesting places or mentioning you have interesting friends, jobs, etc.

Getting a woman's phone number

Person with a woman engages in frequent, consentual sex without expectations of a relationship.

Pretend you are busy with something else to prevent set from ignoring you thinking you may never go away if they show attention. Examples: "I can only stay a minute..." , "I need to get back to my friends in a second, but I wanted to ask you..."

Written report posted on the internet of results of sarging. They are generally written with great detail, highlighting which approaches and techniques worked and which ones did not, so that others may learn. Offshoots of this are the LR (Lay Report), which sometimes seem to be more of BR (Brag Report).

Woman who cancels or fails to show up for a date

Ignoring another person for doing something unwanted. Can be very obvious - such as saying 'Im not talking to you anymore' and turning back, or barely noticable, such as turning slightly away a giving more attention to another person.

A Set is a group of any number of people that appear to be together. Usually the term is used to descibe group of people sitting or standing together as a group, and often is used with a number to designate the number of people in the group. Example: a 3-set is a group of 3 people of any gender. A 2-1 Set is 2 females and 1 male.

Far too complicated for a simplistic definition. One of several bases of theory used by PUAs, particularly with inspiring positive emotions and anchoring those emotions with the PUA, building attraction.

When building interest and attraction (the first 2 stages of pickup) wth a very attractive woman in a competitive environment (such as a nightclub), the best initial approach is an offhanded compliment, often called a 'neg'. It should NOT be an open insult, and should be delivered with a facial expression, tone, and body language to convey that you are being playful, not insulting. Example: "Nice shoes -- did you buy those new?" or "Love your hairstyle -- did your mom do it for you?" Credit: Mystery

A Neg, comment, statement, or story told upon approach to a Set or person. If can be canned (scripted), or improvised (spontaneous). For PUAs, it almost never shows interest in target or gives a clue that the approach was for pickup.

Male(s) in a mixed set (group of people composed of both males and females) who claims to be 'just friends' with a target, but in reality wants to sleep with her.

Man who picks up as man women as possible to gain ego boost. PUA community members generally do not describe themselves as Players because PUAs work to set up the foundation of a healthy workable relationship, not just getting phone numbers or getting laid. PUA is about how to attract, seduce, and KEEP a high value woman in your life.

AFC who is learning ways to attract women that actually work.

Inspiring guilt to hold frame, for example by saying your friends haven't shown up yet

The act of explicitly going out and picking up women using pick-up and seduction techniques. Generally in a group (with wingmen), but can be done alone.

Second date or meeting - generally made very soon after the first meeting.

(AKA 'Congruence Test') Women often test their partners by saying something irrelevant or antagonistic, to see how the PUA handles adversity, or 'see what you're made of'. Example: "Are you gay?" If the PUA becomes embarrassed or defense, he fails the test. In general, the best response is to mockingly agree with the statement and continue conversation, or ignore/dismiss the statement by rolling the eyes and continuing. In general, The Sh!t test is an IOI.

Women want to know that men have many interesting friends; they don't like 'loners'. It's a DHV to be seen with other men who know you.

Plan a date with target, but maintain interest level and excitement by planning it to happen soon, and 'talk up' what the experience is going to be.
